Applicant Privacy Notice

TheInterviews Inc. is the controller of the personal data you submit as a job applicant. Questions or requests about this notice go to privacy@theinterviews.ai.

• Your name and contact details (email, phone).
• Your location.
• Your resume or CV, including the text we extract from it to help us review your application.
• Links you give us, such as a LinkedIn profile or a portfolio.
• The answers you provide on the application form itself.
• Technical data such as a hashed (never raw) IP address and your browser's user agent string, collected for abuse prevention only.

We use this data to evaluate your application, to contact you about it, and to comply with legal obligations that apply to hiring (for example, record-keeping requirements under labour and equal-opportunity law).

We rely on your consent, given when you submit the application form, and our legitimate interest in evaluating candidates for open roles. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, these are our Article 6 GDPR bases; we do not intentionally collect special category data through this form, and you should avoid including it in free-text fields. If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share your personal information, and applying does not affect any other right you have under the CCPA. If you are in India, submitting this form is your consent to our processing of your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; you may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing privacy@theinterviews.ai, though withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.

We retain your application data for 12 months after you submit it, then delete it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or an active hiring process for your application requires us to keep it a little longer. To ask for earlier deletion, email privacy@theinterviews.ai.

We share application data only with service providers acting on our behalf: AWS (secure storage of your application and resume, and automated malware scanning of uploaded files) and our transactional email provider (sending you confirmation and status emails about your application). We do not sell your data.

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your application data, and to object to or restrict our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@theinterviews.ai.

We do not use automated decision-making to decide the outcome of your application. Every application is reviewed by a person before we schedule an interview or reject an application. If we ever introduce AI-assisted screening, we will disclose it here, before you apply, and update the notice version above.

We never ask what you currently earn or have previously earned. Any compensation question on our application form asks only what you expect or would accept going forward.
