Accessibility Statement

TheInterviews is an interview and hiring platform. A candidate sits in our interview room under time pressure and is scored on what they say and do there, so the room being operable by everyone is not a courtesy — it is the condition for a fair result. This statement says where we stand today, what we know is not yet right, and how to get help before or during an interview.

Our commitment

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across our public website, the candidate dashboard, and the live interview room, including the code editor and the system-design whiteboard.

Conformance status

TheInterviews is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the product do not yet fully meet the standard. The known gaps are:

  • Completing a full interview in the live room using only a keyboard, or with a screen reader such as VoiceOver or NVDA, is still under human verification. Every required control in the room is reachable by keyboard, but we have not yet confirmed the whole flow end to end with assistive technology.
  • Some text on our marketing pages does not yet meet the minimum colour-contrast ratio.
  • Some controls on mobile forms are smaller than the recommended touch-target size.

An Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT) listing each success criterion and its status is available to enterprise buyers on request through the contact route below.

How we measure and keep this honest

  • An automated accessibility sweep (axe-core plus a keyboard-reachability probe) runs against every public route and every interview-room state on each deployment.
  • A ratchet gate stops any change that would introduce a new critical or serious violation, so the list above can only get shorter.
  • A findings register records every open issue by WCAG success criterion; this page is reviewed whenever that register changes.

Request an accommodation

If any part of an interview is difficult to use, you can ask for an accommodation. You can request extra time for an interview, an alternative format for a question or for your feedback report, or help with a specific control in the room.

We welcome reports of accessibility barriers anywhere on the platform. Please tell us the page or interview step, the assistive technology you were using, and what happened; that is enough for us to reproduce it and add it to the register.
