AI Interview Guidelines

This page describes how our AI interview works so you can make an informed choice before starting a session. The information below reflects current behavior and will be updated as the product evolves.

What we record

During a session we capture your camera video and microphone audio. Audio is transcribed so the AI interviewer can respond to your answers. In Lifelike interviews the transcript is also used, with your consent, to protect interview integrity — for example, to detect impersonation or outside assistance. We store only the text transcript for this purpose: no audio recording is kept for integrity review and no voiceprint is created. Practice interviews are not used for integrity review. Video is used to confirm you are present; we do not run sentiment detection or emotion scoring. In Lifelike interviews, and only with your separate in-session consent, we verify your identity by comparing periodic camera images against a face template you enroll. Practice interviews never use biometric verification.

How the AI evaluates your answers

The AI interviewer is a large language model fine-tuned for interview scoring. It evaluates your transcribed answers against a rubric covering technical accuracy, problem-solving approach, and communication clarity. Scores are guidance — not an employment decision.

What the AI is not

Our AI is not a hiring decision system and is not used by employers to make hiring decisions. Feedback is intended to help you prepare. Employers who subscribe to our Profile Card surface see your summary and verified scores — they do not see your raw video, audio, or transcript.

Retention & deletion

• Session recordings — kept for your plan's retention window (currently 1 day on free plans, 7 days on paid plans, 30 days for B2B), then automatically deleted.
• Transcripts, feedback, and resumes — retained while your account is active, and erased when you delete your account.
• Lifelike integrity data — the identity face template, any flagged evidence images, and the integrity transcript are each deleted 30 days after the interview.

You can request deletion at any time from your profile settings; deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
